Post Date: 5/13/2010

Phoenix, AZ, May 11, 2010 — Dixon Golf is proud to announce that their signature golf ball, the Dixon Earth, is now the official golf ball of Arizona Science Center. The new partnership connects two companies whose mission is to improve the environment through education.

“This is a perfect marriage,” says William Carey, CEO of Dixon Golf. “Arizona Science Center has been educating people about the importance of being environmentally conscious for decades. We’re happy to be on board with such a great partner.”

The VP of External Affairs at Arizona Science Center, Kristin Priscella, says “we are thrilled to announce the Dixon Earth as the official golf ball of Arizona Science Center. Science is all around us and the Dixon Earth golf ball is not only a great way to work towards sustainability but also to explore the science behind the sport that plays such a key role in our Arizona communities.”

Dixon Golf will also be the title sponsor of Arizona Science Center’s upcoming Father’s Day event. One of the Valley’s premiere cultural institutions, Arizona Science Center has been educating Arizona since 1984 and features more than 300 hands-on exhibits, a five-story IMAX Theater, the cutting-edge Dorrance Planetarium and live science demonstrations that inspire, educate and entertain kids of all ages – from pre-K to gray.

Dixon Golf, a Tempe, AZ based company, is decreasing their carbon footprint by manufacturing the world’s first recyclable golf ball. Borne from a desire to limit its impact on the environment, Dixon also offers a golf ball recycling program through its retail locations that pays $1 per used Dixon ball and $.50 for any other brand. Even the packaging is made from 100% recycled material. From core to cover, from packaging to production, Dixon Earth is setting a new standard in environmental consciousness. Dixon golf balls are distributed internationally and are USGA approved, with a rating of 92%. For more information about Dixon Golf, please visit www.dixongolf.com.
