Mat (Hoss) Vilade, is a four-time RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship finalist who has overcome a debilitating, incurable disease to compete at the highest level of his sport. A professional long driver since 2006, Mat owns the longest drive ever hit on a RE/MAX World Championship Grid – 473-yards. He won the 2011 American Power Golf Tour Metter Invitational with a drive of 400 yards.

Mat is a member of the Dixon Golf staff, as well as Aldila and Krank Professional Long Drive Teams, Hirzl Gloves and sponsored by Synergy Athletic Performance Center of Dallas, Texas and Autocheckmate. Despite being legally blind at birth, was a star athlete in high school and college, winning multiple conference, county and sectional honors in individual and team sports. His sports career was a success despite his battles with Crohn’s Disease, which first hit him at age 13 and which went undiagnosed for a decade. He lives in Hideaway, Texas, with wife Danielle and son Cooper.
